Sadly, it seems they were similarly unsuccessful as Activision is yet to provide a fix at the time of writing. One content creator named Hybs even shared an earlier post through Twitter mentioning the Black Ops Cold War exploit in order to bring more attention to the issue. Of course, this lax reaction from the publisher does nothing to change their notorious image within the disgruntled community. Apparently, the bug in question gives random people the chance to access a player’s IP, which in turn allows them to purposefully crash a game and “potentially cause other issues.”Īccording to a post from CoD news aggregator CharlieIntel, “Activision has not addressed this nor have they stated they’re aware of this problem.” With this in mind, it’s recommended that users avoid playing Cold War for now, at least until the system flaw is addressed. A gamebreaking exploit has reportedly made its way into Activision’s Black Ops Cold War installment and the publisher’s lack of communication regarding this issue has left Call of Duty fans fuming.
